Evangelism and Service Ministries focuses on three primary areas; evangelism/missional formation, church planting/congregational development and service ministries.

The goal of evangelism/missional formation(1) is healthy, growing congregations that creatively and intentionally invite people to faith in Jesus Christ. Resources include workshops to help congregations develop vision, values and mission statements and setting growth goals, using faith stories to share the good news and connecting with the community.

Church planting(2) goals include working with congregations to establish and nurture new faith communities. Financial, material and human resources are available to help congregations envision, plan for and implement church planting goals.

Through the work of Evangelism and Service Ministries congregations and individuals can connect to a variety of service opportunities(3) . We are currently developing resources to help prepare participants for short-term, cross-cultural service ministries.

Frohe Botschaft - Work in Evangelism and Service also includes oversight of the Frohe Botschaft, an inspirational German radio program.

(1)Evangelism, the engagement of the gospel with the contemporary cultural context, grows out of congregations that have a missional identity. Resources are available to help congregations develop such identity and identify goals for evangelism in their communities.

(2)Mennonite Church Manitoba is committed to helping establish multiplying missional congregations.
Missional congregations align with God's purpose to recreate and reconcile creation through Jesus Christ and are intentional alternative communities of grace, joy and peace rooted in Jesus Christ, empowered by God's Spirit, incarnating the gospel through proclamation and service.

(3)Jesus said that love of God and neighbour summarize the law and that we demonstrate our love for others through actions.
