Media Ministry

MCM recording studio

  • What we currently do:
    • recording the Faith and Life Choirs for the radio ministry and CD production
    • recording and producing the Frohe Botschaft
    • recording music from our Camp ministry
    • recording services to outside groups
  • Dreams:
    • recording young people from our Constituency to give them an entry into the world of songwriting and music production (then featuring them on our website)

Radio Program Production

  • What we currently do:
  • Dreams:
    • Hymn Sing program
    • "Saints of Old, Saints of New" - a short 1-2 min reading/quote from classic spiritual masters, or more recent ones

Website

  • What we currently do:
    • sharing diverse media (audio, video, animation, images) that will encourage people in their faith… hopefully also accessible to those who might not have faith at this point.
    • sharing resources that people can use in their daily faith work, or in their work in their congregations
    • stories of the work our congregations, members in our congregations, and MCM staff are undertaking which build the Kingdom of God and embody the MCM vision statement.
    • making the work, structure and business of being a Conference readily available to all
    • centralizing a MCM events calendar for MCM events and congregational events
  • Dreams:
    • making web services available to congregations for their own web sites

Video

  • What we currently do:
  • What we're working on:
    • "So what" - a short (4-5 min.) regular program with young people interviewing their peers from our constituency on what makes their faith real. (to be delivered on the website)
  • Dreams:
    • Congregational profile videos - profile the worship life and a project the congregation is undertaking in their community - to help us grow as a community of congregations, to encourage congregations to consider new ways of serving their communities, and to share with unchurched people to help them understand what the local MCM congregation is about.
