Blending Music in WorshipPOSTPONED. This event is postponed until fall due to the date conflict with the ENGAGE 2010 worship conference being hosted by Grant Memorial Baptist church that weekend. Almost all congregations include people with different tastes in music. These musical tastes (what some call our ‘soul music’) are usually formed when we’re young and, once formed, rarely change. This can create some significant cultural ‘gaps’ between people in congregations—and some very real challenges for today’s worship leaders and song leaders. How do we navigate the differences in musical taste in our congregations, so that disagreements over musical style don’t distract us from our worship of God? A workshop for song leaders, worship leaders, worship teams, accompanists, pastors, and all who choose and lead music in worship. 9:45 -12:30 @ Canadian Mennonite University Download the full invitation and registration info (141kb .pdf)
